Meet The Authors
JOHNNY LOTT, originally from Lubbock Texas, is a true
pioneer of professional table soccer. Lott captured the sports
most coveted titles, Open Singles & Open Doubles World
Champion, on the prestigious Million Dollar tour. Arguably, the
games most accomplished individual, Lott with Kathy Brainard,
wrote, The Complete Book of Foosball. Lott has greatly
influenced the sport of table soccer through his play style,
innovative designs, and promotions. Technical advisor on the
feature film LONGSHOT and keynote interview in the
documentary  “Be the Greatest", Lott founded the Table Soccer
HALL OF FAME in 1986. Lott was inducted in 2000. Today, Lott
resides in California, still a pioneer in the sport, via JLS Johnny
Lott Signature Table Soccer and the WTSA, World Table
Soccer Alliance.

KATHY BRAINARD has been involved with table soccer as a
professional player, promoter, and writer for over 30 years. She
began playing as a college student in 1972, earned pro status
in 1976, and won back-to-back National titles in Women’s
Doubles in 1985 and 1986. She has continued to play
competitively throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s on the Tornado
national tour. A past editor of various table soccer magazines
(Foos Noos, Table Talk,), Kathy collaborated with World
Champion Johnny Lott in1980 to write The Complete Book of
Foosball. Kathy also published the 1996 Who’s Who of Table
Soccer. Today Kathy lives with her daughter Kelsey (18) and
son Robbie (12) in Cheney, Washington, where she teaches
French, German and table soccer to the students at Cheney
High School.
