(Author’s note: With foosball today regaining its 70’s “cool” status,
it is not unusual to find a table in the homes of many sports stars
and celebrities. In 2005, while playing some casual foosball in
Newport Beach California at the famous Goat Hill tavern, I
encountered a former semi-pro player who told me about playing
foosball at the home of actor Woody Harrelson. He said that
Woody is a skillful and competitive player who enjoys having
friends over for some serious play on his two tables. I never forgot
this story and decided to contact Woody about sharing his love for
our great game with fellow foosers. He graciously accepted. –
